Yesterday was a free day so we luxuriated in the ability to wake up sans alarm but then we had no plans.
I’m not made for group travel. Generally, everyone gets on my nerves by this point in the trip. But I have loved this trip. I just adore our new Aussie friends (and Canadian Anne and Leslie and Linda from USA).
For our free day The Husband and I took a cab to a town called Ojén because the guide book said it was a Top 5 (written by the town Mayor, methinks). Getting a taxi back to Marbella got scary when we couldn’t drop a pin, make a call, or answer a call. We’re on the precipice of being too old for new technologies.

Those of us still standing met for a tapas and flamenco dance show last night. James and Cam are still out sick. It’s a game of Whack a Mole. Below are Johnny and Storm who stayed out well past bedtime.

It’s been a great trip but our golfing has perhaps never been worse. Most recreational golfers want to shoot their age in golf. I’d settle for shooting my weight. That’s post-Karl pre-trip weight if you’ve been paying attention.
We’ve reached the penultimate day of our trip. Golf this morning and then our farewell dinner tonight. One more post to go (and I hope to tell you how grand we played).
I’ve been enjoying your series. The photos of Portugal and Spain are beautiful. I’m glad you made it out of Ojén without having to become a permanent resident.
