Our Cambodian tour guide, Sukon, had a habit of saying, “And then, after that” when he told his stories. And there were many.
We learned that Cambodia is a large exporter of shoes. I observed that crocs and flip flops are the main vibe.

They are a leading suppliers of cashews, but here’s Cap with the bag of cashews that he schlepped from the USA.

We took bathroom breaks called Happy Rooms where men shot the rabbit and women squeezed the lemon. Beela and I squeezed enough lemons to fill a lake.

We “templed” a lot. In Seim Reap we visited Ta Phrom. I can’t describe, nor can photos depict the fascinating trees here, snaking and enveloping the temple walls.

We visited Angkor Wat at 5am to watch the sunrise over a temple where construction first started in the twelfth century.

Six of us went golfing (you can see a floating village any day). We were greeted by female caddies, each with our names on their vests. They held umbrellas over our heads and brought us cold towels and that’s not nothing in a country where it’s been 90+ temperature and 80+ humidity.

Today we said goodbye to Sadie, Downtown, Spud and Sweet Pea. Now we are 12 heading to the airport to go back to Vietnam.

And then, after that…at the airport we said goodbye to Sokun. Oh, my Buddha! He was a gem.
I’ve never heard the term, “shoot the rabbit” before, but I guess I’ve been shooting them my entire life. But I won’t be counting my kills by notching my gun.

It sure sounds like you had a great time in Seim Reap, Alison, seeing the impressive temple and playing golf. I wonder where you’re flying to in Vietnam, and hope your flight is nice and safe.
