A Faucet and a Free Cleaning

Fernando finally came with a plumber to fix the sink. I could hear them talking to each other in what was probably Portuguese but surely not French. So now we aren’t intimidated by him. I totally caught him bonjouring when he should have been bonsoiring.

The faucet came out nice, though I am suspect about the plumber Fernando brought because he asked to borrow a kitchen knife to replace the sink faucet. I’m no plumber but doesn’t that sound more like a wrench situation?

Fernando was standing in our foyer waiting for his plumber friend (Brother? Cousin?) to come back so we weren’t able to back out of the door and thank Jesus as is our custom. That night The Husband saw a ghost. Coincidence? I think not. He was trying to tell me all about his little girl ghost whose name is….”STOP!” I screamed at him. “Everyone knows if you name a ghost you have to keep it!” He tried to tell me that’s what they say about dogs but I’m pretty sure it’s also ghosts.

We went back to bringing Jesus in and out with us and sure enough this morning the landlord messaged that we were getting a free housecleaning this week what with all the mold and the broken faucet. That was great news especially since the last time she messaged was this completely unsolicited note:

What means this “necessary and as needed”?

Christmas is coming alive in this town (Thank you, Jesus!) The big department stores have started opening their display windows. Next week we will go to Strasbourg with The Sisters so if anyone has Christmas markets experience, let me know what you know.
