How’d You Go? (Spain, Final Day)

In Australia, instead of asking, “How was your day? they say, “How’d you go?” If you’ve been following this series of blog posts, you know we went well. We’ve loved the trip.

The last golf course we played, Finca Cortesin, was my favorite. It was impeccably groomed and the service was outstanding. It has hosted the Solheim Cup twice.

Our golfing was lousy throughout the trip though on the last day at the 19th hole (non-golfers: The 19th hole…nah…I’m not coddling you anymore) I was awarded a hat as a consolation prize for being almost competitive. Always a bridesmaid.

Last day of golf before tee off

The last bus ride back to the hotel was convivial:

Leslie with her award given for ogling the first mate of our boat
Johnny

Our final “smoke” after dinner on the beach:

Saying goodbye was hard, we hugged all those germ buckets warmly and in about a week, when The Husband and I are both sick, it will be a reminder of them.

Kate and Geoff are headed to Ireland next where she will attend the National Ploughing (Plowing) Finals. Ha! She’s the real deal. We will both miss her.

We got to golf with Kate and Geoff aka Danga on our last day

So that’s how we went. For anyone wanting more information about our trip planners, Golf & Tours, click here. Ainsley and Ben are absolute jewels.

(Non-golfers: Now do me a favor—just pick up a club and go golf).

  1. “Germ buckets.” I love it.

This series was a fun read, and even though you were “almost competitive,” you seemed to be a good sport about it. But I won’t place bets that you didn’t cuss at least once, on the greens.

    Have a safe trip home!
