All the Feels (Final Day, Saigon)

We boarded the bus today and headed away from Saigon toward our boat in the Mekong Delta.

In Saigon we’ve experienced all the senses; overwhelming sometimes— the smells of the rotted food and decaying garbage at the vegetable market, the gut wrenching sights at the War Remnants Museum, that time I almost hurled when the feral cats loomed on the “fresh” food tables:

Fresh in quotes because the fishmonger separated the fish at the end of the day. One pile for the cats, one pile for tomorrow’s market?

The  Vu Cooking School—sights, sounds and tastes— remains a highlight click here for info.

Thanks, Princess for booking this for us.  Sadie and Downtown were missing from the cooking class but they’re here now. Finally.

For the sense of touch, Malibu, Tank, Goat and Mikey all had clothes made by the 24-hour tailor. Spud, Sweet-pea and several others enjoyed massages.

Cap and I are still in our blog competition. He keeps moving the goal post. One day we’re battling for Visitors, the next day Views. One time he suggested “Net percentage increase in blog followers” like he’s going to get me to do some math

This sign in Saigon gave me a special feel (my initials: AO)

Click here to follow Cap’s blog. He covers our itinerary but I can guarantee he’s not covering the feels

  1. I think you deserve an award for this blog. Your very description of the smells. I was swallowing fast a felt I was back in Paris staring at those runny eggs. So Thxs for that. Great blog. Of course as always I love your blogs and you.
