Ah, blissful is the sleep that comes after jet lag. One goes in and out of conscious thought, unsure of time or place. The twin beds smashed together like a king is also disorienting. Where’s my husband? And where’s the bathroom?
First thing this morning, (well, after I did my Wordle, Quordle, French Wordle, Anagrams, and Duo Lingo) we went…
Back to the Big Red Bus.

Listen. We might splurge for business class seats on the airline and room service at the hotel but when our 34€ bus ticket says it’s good for 24-hours, we will not stand down at hour 21. No, sir. So we took a two hour tour around the bigger perimeter of Lisbon today.
The architecture is an amazing conglomerate of old (ancient) and new, modest and loud, shiny and decrepit. They are also known for their lovely tile work on buildings, bridges and interiors.

We found the homeless today (and the graffiti and the litter). Public housing had a view of the bay. Not nothing.
It’s The Husband’s birthday today! Unlike yesterday when the jet lag had me as mean as a heroine addict in detox, today I am going to be nothing but sugar and sunshine. He wanted to go to St George’s castle and I said ‘yes’. (I can do this!)

Back at our hotel we found a bottle of wine from the hotel and a bottle of bubbly and cake from our tour guides. The Husband and I are coming off dry June, July and (damp) August so it’s ON!

Tomorrow golf! Can’t wait.
So funny and informative! Happy Birthday, Dave! 🥂🎂👏🤗🥰

good to see the husband front and center. 600 am. The princess says she has a way with words. Like a great Taylor she weaves an incredible item.

Good luck with your golf game. And I hope your husband can tell the difference between the flags, as he aims for the proper green.

Just done with the first round. I don’t think he hit a single fairway. Birthday luck is waaaay gone!

Hello Alison. NO we havet’t. I was actually thinking about you. There was an accident in the cable car in Lisbon. Are you all all right?

Yes we missed it by a half a day. Such a tragedy and very much felt that day all around by the locals. Thanks for checking in.

Half a day? That was close… I was very concerned when I read the article. I’d just read a couple of posts of yours…
Glad you’r safe. And it is a tragedy…
Take care Alison.
